The Polish Ministry of Energy has selected PGESystemy to operate a 4.9G dedicated wireless network in the 450 MHz band for critical and operational communications of its next-generation power grid. A

This band has excellent propagation characteristics, wide power levels, and strong availability of voice and data radios from various equipment vendors to support multiple applications. A

And it is the preferred frequency band to support machine-to-machine communication in the energy sector, including smart meters and the required wireless SCADA connections, such as wind turbines. Future applications of this network may include distributed energy management and other digital smart grid applications. Based on the above advantages and broad application prospects, this frequency band is favored by the entire European energy sector.
